We’re now teaching
across East Sussex

Tuition With Lauren is expanding beyond Kent. Meet Eleanor and Adam Terrell — two qualified teachers and school leaders joining Lauren to lead the new East Sussex team.

4 min read · August 2026

Since Tuition With Lauren began, one-to-one and small-group teaching has meant one teacher: Lauren, working with families across Kent. That's changing. Tuition With Lauren now teaches across East Sussex too — and rather than stretching one person thinner, two more qualified teachers have joined to lead it properly. Eleanor and Adam Terrell make up the new East Sussex team, and both bring exactly the kind of experience this business was built on: real classroom and school leadership background, not just a tutoring sideline.

Why expand now

The families getting in touch from East Sussex were asking for the same thing Kent families already knew about Tuition With Lauren: a qualified teacher who understands how children actually get stuck, not just a subject specialist running through a workbook. Rather than trying to cover East Sussex from Kent, the right answer was to bring in teachers who already live and work there — which is exactly what Eleanor and Adam do.

Meet Eleanor

Eleanor is a QTS-qualified educator, curriculum and pastoral leader with eight years' experience working with young people aged 11–19. As Curriculum Lead for Philosophy, Religion and Ethics, she has led curriculum planning across Years 7–11 and developed teaching materials to support varied starting points and needs — the same instinct for differentiation and Wave 1 intervention that she now brings to one-to-one tutoring.

She has also carried shared pastoral responsibility for around 400 students, including safeguarding, attendance and welfare concerns alongside close work with SENCOs. That combination — curriculum expertise plus a genuine understanding of what gets in a child's way — translates directly into small-group and one-to-one teaching, where knowing the individual learner is everything.

Eleanor is based in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex.

Meet Adam Terrell

Adam Terrell is an experienced teacher and school leader whose career spans grammar, independent and specialist education. A graduate in Sport Studies and Business, he began as a classroom teacher across Business, PE and Geography before moving into pastoral and senior leadership, including roles as Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Head.

Adam has always considered himself a teacher first, even through years of leadership meetings — and it shows in how he talks about the job: schools where high expectations and strong pastoral care sit alongside each other, and children who thrive when they're known, supported and occasionally told what they need to hear rather than just what they want to hear.

Two more qualified teachers, the same standard families in Kent already trust — now working across East Sussex too.
